European Pallet Network Launch a New B2B Website With Connect

Over the last year, Connect partnered with a leading European pallet network to launch a new B2B website. Connect aimed to achieve three main objectives:

  • Improve the user experience for existing and future customers,
  • Boost organic search visibility,
  • Drive more lead generation through the homepage

Organic Search Performance Overview: It was clear that after the website migration, there was a surge in their key UK organic search metrics, as highlighted by the impressive data gathered from Google Search Console! 

Clicks: In the first 60 days after the migration, Connect saw the clients’ UK organic clicks skyrocket by 22%, and it carried on into spring, smashing records and highlighting a strong surge in user interest and engagement. 

Impressions: Within those first 60 days, impressions increased by 179%. During this time, Connect hacurated and optimised the website’s content to attract more visitors and potential clients by filtering through the noise and targeting priority keywords and questions.

Average Position: Prior to migration, the site had an average ranking position of around 9, but after launch, it experienced a slight dip. This is quite normal to see during a major site upgrade, but guess what? By March and April the following year, they had soared back up and stabilised in the 11-12 range! This signifies an incredible boost in visibility, thanks to Connect’s help in introducing new content while refreshing old legacy content.

This migration was a GAME-CHANGER! 

 

How We Paired Traffic And Revenue Improvements Together

After analysing their Google Analytics 4 data, it showed that this migration didn’t just drive up traffic but also supercharged the quality of that traffic too! Engaged sessions per user post-migration increased by 13%, whilst remaining steady throughout the measurement period, revealing that users are finding the new site more relevant and engaging than ever. 

Yes, we did experience a brief adjustment period in mid-2025 and a temporary dip in monthly organic users, but this is normal, as Google’s ranking system fine-tunes itself and rediscovers the newly migrated website. Fast forward to 2026, and our client was back with a bang, showing that monthly organic users had surged and surpassed pre-migration levels.

A Stellar Success Story for Palletised Freight 

Overall, the results of this migration are fantastic. The site’s revenue is through the roof, up a phenomenal 181% year-on-year. A major factor in this success was the introduction of a new homepage quote form during the site redesign, built to drive more users to their sister website, which handles purchases. This feature alone accounted for over half of the post-migration revenue, generating a substantial amount in its first year and opening a new lead-generation channel that had previously been non-existent on the old site. 

Connect helped the client generate a significant increase in sessions on this dedicated quote page after the migration, with traffic tripling! This boost isn’t just about the numbers; it shows how much Connect improved the user experience, helping visitors navigate more easily toward making a purchase.

Although there was a temporary dip in average position post-migration, the site has bounced back. With an expanded content footprint now captured by Google, it is set for ongoing organic growth and success!
